Once again, as in her first film, Os Mutantes features three young people pitted against the world. Once again, Teresa Villaverde depicts characters who do not fit into society: Andreia, Pedro and Ricardo are fifteen years old and are living on the street: They don't give up; they search, run, laugh, cry; they want to change things, want something to happen; they are wild about to explode, perhaps just as we all were at some time in our youth.
