Pau Figueres Ortiz (Benidorm/Donostia, 1976) has a Degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Coventry (UK) and in Fine Arts from the University of the Basque Country, where he has also completed the Master’s Degree in Creation and Research in Contemporary Art and where he has carried out teaching tasks and is currently finishing his doctoral thesis entitled “RE-ADs, poetics of hyper-everydayness. The brand as a resource in an (in)voluntary artistic action or silly art.”

He has received several scholarships and awards, including the production scholarships and residency scholarship at the Bilbaoarte Foundation (in 2013, 2016, 2019), the Visual Arts scholarship of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, the Basque Government research grant, and the artistic project prize at the XLIV Gipuzkoa New Artists Competition. He has also completed residencies in different institutions such as the Kunsthaus Bregenz (Austria) and research stays at Penn State University (PA, USA).
