In the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, a long, long way away, 1400 kilometres west of Lisbon, nine islands make up the territory of the Azores. Rabo de Peixe is the name of one of its fishing villages and this film documents the journeys, encounters, images, changes and talks filmed over a fifteen-year period by film-makers Joaquim Pinto and Nuno Leonel. The result is a film in the middle of the sea: from traditions to an uncertain future.
