Ricardo Hueso Alonso

Professor of Physics at the University of the Basque Country, where he teaches at the Bilbao School of Engineering. His research focuses on the study of planetary atmospheres, examining the behaviour of the atmospheres of planets as different as Jupiter, Mars and Venus. To do so, he uses astronomical observations obtained with terrestrial or space telescopes, and data collected by different space missions. He is a member of the scientific teams of European Space Agency missions such as Venus Express, Mars Express, JUICE and Envision, and of NASA missions such as Mars 2020, and is a recognised expert in the investigation of impacts on the planet Jupiter.
