Explanation and breakdown of one of the most complex sequences within the field of visual effects, filming and recreation of 3d environments, made for a Hollywood blockbuster, on which the lead artist and digital matte painter of the 3D DMP department of Method Studios has worked. Starting with the briefing, followed by the design of pre-production, production and post-production, and also addressing artistic and budgetary issues, as well as the importance of VFX for a good visual narrative.
Lucia Peralta Capelastegui (Madrid, 1984) Lead digital matte painter and concept artist who has worked internationally in Australia, England and Bulgaria in companies such as Method Studios, Double Negative and MPC (Moving Picture Company). She has participated in various international blockbusters, outstanding among which are Game of Thrones, Aquaman, The Jungle Book (Oscar for the best visual effects in 2017), Jumanji: welcome to the Jungle, Passengers and Life. She currently lives and works in Madrid as lead matte painter/environment artist for Deluxe.
