Subtitulo
Residence in Iran: Ana Rakel Ruiz de Sabando
Texto Destacado
Through a process of searching the streets of Tehran, and taking the Kooshk space as a starting point, she is going to collect abandoned objects that will act as a basis for this project and as a uniting thread for the collective and individual memories of the city's people. Like small shelters, these objects house memories and evoke in us past moments. They are like the roots that, anchored in the past, keep us connected with our own essence. She bases her thoughts on the assumption of a certain contrast between the idea of "shelter" as a space for protection and safety, and the idea of a "shelter-cage" that ends up stripping us of freedom.
