In this performative lecture, London-based artist Bernd Behr follows the trail of silver, from its pervasive presence in electronic devices to celluloid film back to a Roman mine near Tabakalera. Digging into this silver substrate of images, we encounter a surveyor trapped in the mine communing across time with an architect designing a new film school from the remnants of an early experiment in 3D cinema. Through their exchange they discover a new spatial paradigm within the flat pictorial plane.
This performative reading is part of the activities programmed for the Estudiotik at exhibition. The aim of the exhibition is to make visible the projects that have been carried out in the Artists' Space on the third floor of Tabakalera.
