Fashion films have become an essential element in unveiling a brand or a new collection. Beyond showing us the product (which sometimes doesn’t even make an appearance), a Fashion Film reveals the essence and the intention of the brand being presented. Fashion films are audiovisual productions; short films. The communicate a brand with a style that prioritises beauty and aesthetics.
The idea behind this workshop is to discover and experience first-hand the world that unites fashion with film. You’ll become part of a film crew and you’ll find out what’s involved in creating an audiovisual production, from the idea and its development through to filming and subsequent editing.
Brief programme for the workshop:
1- Outline of the workshop.
2- What is a fashion film? A new format for brands.
3- How do fashion films differ from standard publicity and how are they similar to cinema?
4- Making a fashion film: idea, production, filming, editing and screening.
5- Showing participants’ work and discussion.
