Susana Blasco

Susana Blasco is a graphic designer, illustrator and collagist. All her work, both graphical and artistic, exudes a strong symbolic content, where the concept is the epicentre. Each work is an excuse to experiment, mix, shake and recreate through play, humour and double entendres. 

She studied two degrees, Publicity and Business Studies, which she complemented with art and design courses. She worked for more than 10 years in different studios and publicity agencies in Zaragoza as a graphical designer and art director. In 2007 she started her own graphical studio and received a grant from the Provincial Government of Zaragoza to expand her artistic studies abroad. In 2008 she moved her residency to London, where she stayed until 2011, alternating work as a freelance and studying at the Saint Martins College of Art and Design. 

She currently lives in Bilbao. Her work has been reviewed in specialised media and has been part of many individual and collective exhibitions in Los Angeles, Miami, Lisbon and throughout Spain. For the last 4 years in addition to her work she has taught collage workshops, disseminating her passion for this technique and for old recovered material.
