Call for residencies in collaboration between Tabakalera and Chillida Leku to promote artistic creation and research linked to the relationship between contemporary art, public space and landscape.
The call is aimed at artists of any nationality who wish to explore new artistic contexts and develop a research and artistic creation project linked to art and landscape.
The residency, which will take place over eight weeks between October and December 2023, will offer space, context and time for the development of the artistic project, in the facilities of Chillida Leku and Tabakalera (accommodation will be only in Tabakalera for the duration of the residency).
One proposal will be selected from among all the projects submitted to the call and the resolution will be announced on 3 May 2023.
The proposal selected for the residency is Amimona by Ane Zelaia.
The selection committee was made up of Mireia Massagué, director of Chillida-Leku; Nausica Sánchez, head of mediation and research at Chillida-Leku; Clara Montero, cultural director of Tabakalera; Ane Agirre, head of contemporary art at Tabakalera and Laida Mendia, contemporary art technician.
