Teresa Lanceta is licensed in Modern and Contemporary History taken doctor's degree on History of the Art. Nowadays, she gives classes in the Escola Massana of Barcelona. Her work develops across the textile art and the video art and she has investigated, among other areas, the popular textile art in Morocco, the Spanish carpet of the 15th century and the work of the women in the tobacco industry. She collaborates in magazines of art like Arte y Parte, Horizons Maghrébins, Debates sobre arte and Concreta. Between her individual exhibitions stand out La alfombra roja (Museu Tèxtil i d’Indumentària, Barcelona, 1989), Tejidos marroquíes: Teresa Lanceta (National Museum Center of Art Arts Reigns Sofia, Madrid, y Villa des Arts, Casablanca, 2000), Tejida abstracción (Museum of Modern Art of Ibiza and Museum of Teruel, 2001) and El paso del Ebro (Galería Espacio Mínimo, Madrid, 2015). Among her collective exhibitions they stand out De una parte a otra (Gezira Art Center de El Cairo, Lonja del Pescado de Alicante y Musée d’Angers- Université Le Mirail de Toulouse, 2009), How to (…) things that don’t exist (31 Bienal de São Paulo, 2014), EL CONTRATO (The Center of Azkuna, Bilbao, 2014) and La réplica infiel (Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo, Móstoles, Madrid, 2016). In 2011, she presented the focumentary Cierre es la respuesta, an audiovisual about the workers of Tabacos's Factory of Alicante.

In June, 2016, her individual exhibition Adiós al Rombo inaugurated in Casa Encendida and after it, she is going to be at Azkuna Zentroa.
