Thanos Savvidis

Thanos Savvidis was born in Pafos (Cyprus) in 1972. He works as a deputy head-teacher in primary education. He has a doctorate degree in School Leadership and Multicultrual Education. He has been a member of the Photographic Society of Cyprus since 2009 and the president of the Pafos Branch since 2012. He has participated in several workshops and seminars about photography (e.g. Nikos Economopoulos, Magnum – Loukas Vasilikos, ViVo – Platon Rivellis, Jason Eskenazi). He has won awards and acceptances in local, national and international photography competitions. He participated in group exhibitions in Cyprus, Greece, Romania and Germany. In July 2015 he was accepted as an associate member of the photography collective BuLB Photos. Since January 2016 he is a full member of the collective. In October 2015 his work was published in Inspired Eye magazine. His current work is on the projects Insight, Like frogs around the pond and The archealogists.
