With more than two decades of adventures that include twelve albums, a trilogy alongside N(Hellmut Neidhart) and a relentless stream of collaborations in labels as reputed as Abgurd, Drone, TIBProd, Mystery Sea or Eclectic Reactions (in addition to his own, SeriesNegras),
Txesus Garate has become a well-known reference for ambient and contemporary noise music, as well as audiovisual manipulation and activism (the latter with fellow Gipuzkoan Paralux).

Far removed from musical conventionalism, although the origins of this advanced explorer of the Basque experimentation scene connect with the solidity of industrial music (Gutural), the bulk of his work has evolved towards conceptual approaches that result in a dreamlike and radical collection of music that is highly stimulating. Whether it is fronting Tzesne or as a member of other projects (the most extreme is Kkopu, the most rhythmic, guZural), his poetic idea of sound -of the modelling of time- does nothing more than emphasise the simplicity of precise yet multiform compositions that refer to a semantic perception of the piece.
