Victor, his wife Annette and their daughter Pamela are about to leave Vienna for Paris. Annette wants to believe that Vienna exerts a negative influence on Victor that consumes his energy. Blind with love, she prefers to blame the city rather than him. The fact that he is irresponsible and disappears for days and nights is a source of pain for her, but she still hopes that one day he will regain his sanity and that married life will stabilize.
