Tabakalera collaborates with Donostiako Emakumeen etxea to organize a film series dedicated to cinema made by Arab women. In this third screening we will have with us the director Amal Ramsis to present her film Yo come from far away (Venís desde lejos) from 2018. 

Synopsis: Imagine that your father is a Palestinian Arab who decided to fight against Franco in the Spanish civil war. Imagine that you have brothers and sisters with whom you can't communicate because you don't you don't speak the same language. Imagine that you have a family but you grew up without your parents...

‘You come from far away’ tells the extraordinary story of a Palestinian family. The family was dispersed as a result of the events of the last century: Spanish Civil War, Palestinian Nakba, Lebanese civil war, etc.
