Teresa tries to understand why her husband has left her. There is despair and sadness in her, a feeling of loneliness, abandon, that it’s all over. Also the certainty that something – life promises – has been broken forever. Mixing fiction and documentary, her visits to the neighbourhood portray the town and its inhabitants, once again bringing to us an image of a destroyed Mexico.

Verano de Goliat (Summer of Goliath) is a documentary/fiction hybrid that narrates various stories of the people of the town of Huilotepec in rural Mexico.
