ATHANASIUS KIRCHER. Arca Noe. 1675
David Foster Wallace (Ithaca, NY, 1962 - Claremont, 2008) opened the paper titled “What is water?”, read to the graduate students of Kenyon College (USA) with a tale of two fishes that suddenly realise the existence of a substance called water when another older fish asks the question: How is the water? This intervention consists of annotating the paper read by Wallace, a writer whose production is characterised by its footnotes.
