Zahrat Essawssane Bourhil

Zahrat Essawssane Bourhil holds a degree in psychology and briefly received circus training at the Shems'y circus school. She has received improvisation-contact classes since 2014, and has made theatre of the oppressed in Casablanca. She worked at the Oriente Occidente Foundation for a brief period as project manager. She has also worked as a researcher and translator for a PhD thesis called Cities without slum neighbourhoods: who will benefit from the relocation of the families in slum neighbourhoods?. In the cultural sphere, she has collaborated with festivals such as the HHF –Hardzazat Hardcore Fest–, where she participated in the creation of the feminist section, at the SBAGHA BAGHA Street Art Festival as artist assistant, and at the L'Boulevard Festival for Young Artists, as production director of the L'Boulevard channel . She is committed to the feminist and queer struggle in its Moroccan context.
