Pello Gutiérrez, David Aguilar and Iñaki Sagastume are three film-making friends who have been working together under the name Zazpi t’erdi for the past fifteen years. Their pieces shift between documentary, video experimentation and performance arts, and their process involves joint work with artists and collectives who answer the call of reality.
This collaborative process led to the creation of Biutz (2012), a documentary theatre piece about the Melilla border made jointly with the French theatre company Rouge Elea. Their recent collective work Heriotza Bikoitza (2018) blends live video with documentary testimonies.
Their films are independent productions which experiment with the limits of classic reality and fiction genres: Zain (2018), Converso (2017), Ozpinaren sindromea (2017), Mara Mara (2016), Nao yik (2011) and La vía flotante (2019) are some examples.
For the past 10 years they have been organising the documentary festival Lupa and the video and experimental music festival Nokodek in San Sebastián and Errenteria.
They are currently working on their latest project, Zikuñagako ama.
