Ainara Santamaria

 

Ainara Santamaria Barinagarrementeria is a journalism graduate with a Master of Feminist Studies and Gender, and is a qualified expert in Basque Cultural Transmission.

She is currently working on her doctoral thesis, supported by a grant from the Mikel Laboa Chair (University of the Basque Country). Her research looks at Mikel Laboa and experimental music from the Basque Country. She is particularly interested in musical anthropology, theories of tradition, Basque studies, cultural systems, group identity and gender systems.
