Dr. Ane García-Artola is a Postdoctoral Associate at the Department of Marine and Coastal Science of Rutgers University (NJ,USA). She graduated in Geology and then conducted a PhD entitled “Geological record of the recent Anthropogenic impact on salt marshes from the eastern Cantabrian coast: agricultural occupation, environmental regeneration and response to climate change” at the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU(Spain).

Afterwards, she obtained a Master in Teacher Training for Compulsory Secondary Education, Upper Secondary Education, Vocational Training and Foreign Language Teaching at the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU (Spain).

In 2015, she was awarded a grant from the Basque Government (Spain) to develop a research project entitled “Sea-level rise in the North Atlantic during the Common Era” in collaboration with Rutgers University and the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU.
