Bego Viñuela

Bego Viñuela is a professional calligrapher who loves letters. Her passion first sprouted in her typography classes whilst studying fine arts at the University of the Basque Country, and later blossomed when she completed her master's in advanced typography at the University of Barcelona. She has continued learning since then, diligently attending international calligraphy courses with the most prestigious masters in the field.

She has taught calligraphy for a number years in her studio Caligrafía Bilbao. She teaches what she knows and what she continues to learn, all in the interests of preserving and disseminating a trade that requires persistent practice and passion.

She has also given several calligraphy courses (on different calligraphy styles) in universities, cultural centres, associations and other venues. She combines teaching in her studio with her work for various brands (Jo Malone, Pedro Del Hierro and others), and creates wedding and event invitations.

In recognition of her exceptional work, she was recently selected for the Calligraphy today. From line to concept exhibition. Held in the National Library of Spain in Madrid, it showcases the work of the best national calligraphers.
