Holds a degree in Communication Sciences from the University of the Basque Country (UPV) and a master’s in Peace and Conflict Resolution Studies from the University of Bradford in the U.K. She is currently a contract researcher for the Chair of Human Rights and Public Powers (UPV).

She also makes documentaries and has written and directed four such works: Mariposas en el hierro (2012), about the Basque conflict; Nigar franko egingo zuen aitak (2014) and Las buenas compañías (2015), about the remembrance of the victims of the Civil War and the dictatorship; and Volar (2017), which looks at gender violence. She was the Latin American correspondent for the Basque public broadcasting service EITB for six years (2003-2010), and is a founding member of the human rights association ARGITUZ.
