Coco Magallanes

She holds a PhD in Sociology and Feminist Cultural Criticism from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (2015). She is currently doing a postdoctoral fellowship at the Alfonso Vélez Pliego Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Meritorious Autonomous University of Puebla (BUAP) with a project on Latin American and Chicano Autobiographical Politics: Conflict, Memory, Literary and Visual Speeches, and Subjects in cooperation with Dr. Ana Lorena Carrillo Padilla. Likewise, she is a guest professor at the National Autonomous University of Mexico for seminars on visual culture and gender in the University's Museum of Contemporary Art (MUAC) and on critical pedagogy, decolonization, cultural translation, autobiography, and intersectionality (gender, class, and race) within the context of the Postgraduate Interdisciplinary Orientation Program (OIP).
