CRYS COLE & OREN AMBARCHI

Canadian sound artist crys cole and Australian musician Oren Ambarchi carve out an intimate and personal sonic space across an array of compositional approaches, sound sources, fidelities and textures. Partners both creatively and romantically, this unique duo reimagines electro-acoustic music, not simply as “abstract” sound, but as a diary, a love poem, a dream.

KAMILYA JUBRAN & WERNER HASLER

Kamilya Jubran & Werner Hasler unravel a musical universe of possibilities; a unison of timbres, cultures complementing, the complicity of verses, and modes and languages confronting each other in the duo’s own way of communicating their respective origins and contemporaneity, with the imaginative interpretation and improvisation built over their 20 year collaboration. 

Hinging on a practice of interrogating their hearing and their expression, their research and their desire, the alchemy of their exchange unveils a voyage into a unique, unheard sound.
In 2019 they released WA (Arabic for and) on Everest Records, their third album.  In 2022 the duo continues their exploration of new sonic and phonetic territories enriching their capacity of dialogue with monthly residencies at Prozess Bern where they extend و WA.
