Luca Carrubba

 

Luca Carrubba has a PhD in Fine Arts and is a communication sociologist and a specialist in interactive technology. Throughout his career he has collaborated with different institutions in Spain and South America, such as the Tabakalera International Centre for Contemporary Culture, Medialab Prado and Idartes Bogotá. He has published numerous articles and essays on technology, art, video games and digital culture. His theoretical production is accompanied by a long history of artistic creation with the Estereotips.net project. As a cultural innovator, he is co-director of ArsGames, an international organisation that works at the crossroads between art, science, technology and politics with video games. He is currently curator for the “La Caixa” foundation of the exhibition “Homo Ludens: video games to understand the present” which opens in July 2021.
