Cuadrante solar, Luis Lechosa, Spain, 2018, 22'
With the sun, time departed and broke.
Solar quadrant articulates dialogues between twenty-four authors generating a reflection about the gaze of the sun in the cinema, in a cyclical and diagrammatic way. A superposition of images and sounds that transform themselves, are exposed to their own re-reading, and with their individuality are distributed in space around a single central axis.
The cinema looks at the sun with amazement, restlessness and detachment. Sometimes it is concentrated in a blinking frame, other times it remains in an endless sky. It is the fragmentation and disintegration of time that structures a montage that, with the circularity of a clock, conjugates all those looks in one.
Inside the room, the cosmos is observed without its presence.
