María García Marraco (Donostia, 1984) documentary filmmaker and sound composer. She works as an audiovisual producer in advertising, culture and events with her project MGMarraco. In 2019 she decided to make a change and embark on more creative and personal projects. Since then, she has been weaving images and sounds in UYULALA, a parallel project of sound and audiovisual experimentation. As a documentary filmmaker, she has made the experimental short film Memoria - Recuerdos - Souvenir / Distorsión (4') 2013, the documentary film ¿Recuerdas aquella vez en la que, estando juntos, bailamos esta o aquella danza? I Performance by Clara Amaral (35') 2019 and the experimental short film The Transhumanist (19').
Currently, she is about to publish "Soñalía, la soñadora" a children's story under the pseudonym María Marraco and develop her first feature film, LOS HOMBRES CABALLO, within the NOKA 2024 programme.
