The opening session of Saturday's lectures will be given by Lorena García, filmmaker, programmer and part of the Amixr collective, and Janire Goikoetxea, cultural mediator and curator of art and technology projects. They will offer a first conversation where they will combine a lecture on the representation of the human-machine, fembots and robots through the moving image with a narrated exploration to dive into the possibilities of virtual recreation of the tangible world and the psychology of the "uncanny".
The presentation will begin with a ritual to resurrect some female figures of sci-fi cinema and speculating the possibilities that are generated in the body-technology link as doors for activism and for the vindication of dissident identities in coexistence with physical and digital environments.
We will then explore the virtual dimension with a live journey through the landscapes of the simulacrum through a VR experience. A commented journey through the challenges of virtual hyperreality where we will face the limits of our perception and the emotional effects derived from the interaction with avatars and digital twins.
