El milagro Gipuzkoa (Gipuzkoa Miracle) is a sculptural and research project which is part of El Milagro Español (The Spanish Miracle), a multidisciplinary project that seeks to discover, document, investigate and illustrate the eponymous economic phenomenon from where it comes. The case of Donostia / San Sebastian is extremely interesting because, unlike Bilbao or Vitoria-Gasteiz, it has had a wide-spread, linear, extensive and assimilative development. To a large extent, it has respected its characteristics as a historic coastal city, while spreading outwards out, due to its terrain, being a great example of the concept of a linear city in our country.
