Tra i Binari was founded in Italy in 2015 by a group of artistarians from theatre, visual and plastic arts. Among the main activities of the association is the community theatre: How can theatre serve communities and how can they use it as a language to convey their needs?
Its activity is developed between continuous artistic and creative research and constant dialogue with communities, activating theatrical processes with citizenship (migrants, disabled people, prisoners, young people, homeless…). They take root where accessibility is lacking; they leave the rehearsal rooms to meet in neighbourhoods, social centres, shelters, parks and any place where they can meet.
Marina Capezzone: works in theatre as an actress and trainer. She is co-founder of the Tra i Binari collective. She has worked in Italy and abroad with various companies developing vocal and physical training for actors and actresses. She designs and promotes theatre projects in schools and with heterogeneous groups. Since 2020 she is part of the network Cultura in Resistance with which she has developed theatre and community projects in Italy, Germany, Peru and Bolivia. She is part of the international group Teatro di Nascosto with which she collaborates in Italy, Belgium and Palestine in the creation of shows and events that tell, through reportage theatre techniques, the daily life of people living under conflict and occupation.
