Laida Aldaz Arrieta is a multidisciplinary and in many cases self-taught artist. After studying as a dancer in P.A.R.T.S. (Brussels), with a scholarship from the European Community, she participates in projects with international artists and companies such as R14, Ali & Hedi Thabet, Mark Tompkins & Meg Stuart, David Zambrano, Julyen Hamilton, Mala Kline and others. Her professional career leads her to get in touch with multiple artists from different disciplines, who generate in her a curiosity for other forms of art. Creator, performer and collaborative artist, her creations are the result of the feedback between performing, plastic and visual arts. She co-creates, directs and produces the works “Soñando Despiertos”, “Shopping List”, “DVP”, “BS&I”, “Derrière Elle”, “Kirolak” and “Ruined Purposes”. She teaches at international festivals and schools (Kalamata Dance Festival, Alias ​​Summer Intensive Canada, RITS, DCJ, CDM, DDM, Summer Intensive Portugal ...). She is the founder and director of Zinetika Festival (Dance & Film).
