Juan Luis Moraza (Vitoria-Gasteiz, 1960) was a founding member of CVA (Centro-Museo Vasco de Arte Contemporáneo) (1979-1985). He has been exhibiting individually and collectively since 1980. His most recent solo exhibitions include: República, MNCARS Madrid (2014); Plata, Madrid (2003); Interpasividad, Koldo Mitxelena, San Sebastian (1999); and Anesteticas. Algologos, Centro Andaluz de Arte Moderno, Seville (1998). Amongst his collective works are: Ofelias y Ulises, Venice (2001); Bida, Valencia (2001); Arte español para fin de siglo, Barcelona (1997); Mais tempo menos historia, Porto (1996); XXII Bienal de Sao Paulo, Brazil (1994); Cocido y crudo, Madrid (1994); Lux Europae, Edinburgh (1992); Pasajes, EXPO 92, Seville (1992); and El sueño imperativo, Madrid (1991).

His published books include Laboratorio de papeles, Fundación Museo Jorge Oteiza, Alzuza (Navarre) (2006); MA (non É) DONNA. Imágenes de creación, procreación y anticoncepción (1993); and Seis sexos de la diferencia, Arteleku, San Sebastian (1990). He has also published several essays in collaborative book projects, specialist magazines, catalogues and newspapers. He formerly coordinated the humour and entertainment section of the magazine Acción Paralela.
