Estibalitz Ezkerra

Estibalitz Ezkerra Vegas studied Journalism and Art History at the University of the Basque Country, and is currently finishing her PhD in Comparative Literature in the USA. Her work analyses the type of discourses which enable and silence the use of memory and history in the construction of a nation state. She was a journalist in the Culture Department at the newspaper Euskaldunon Egunkaria from 2000 until it shut down. Since 2011, she writes fortnightly articles on world literature for Berria, as well as opinion columns on Basque books for Gara.
