Hugues Decointet is an artist, he lives and works in Montreuil (Paris). In the form of architectural models, films or sound installations, his work has been defined by himself as “suites”, in other words extensions of pre-existing works, which are mainly literary, theatrical or cinematographic. It could also be defined as a series of fugues, in the musical sense of the term, or variations on a pre-established motif, in which graphic form and language are intermingled.

Hugues Decointet is also an artistic consultant for the Guy de Cointet Society, an endowment fund devoted to promoting the work of Guy de Cointet (Paris,1934 - Los Angeles,1983). He accompanies the exhibitions, publications, research, and above all the new productions of his theatrical works.
