Aníbal G. Arregui

Aníbal G. Arregui holds a PhD in Anthropology from the University of Barcelona (2013) and has been postdoc researcher at the University of Rostock (2013-2015) and Univerzita Karlova (Prague, currently). He has been, since 2016, an external lecturer at the Social and Cultural Anthropology Department of the University of Vienna. His research revolves around the intersections between the body, the environment and 'traditional' economies in the lower Amazon region (Brazil) – a region in which he has done fieldwork since 2006. Currently, G. Arregui is embarking upon a second geographical and thematic field: the relations between humans and wild bores on the outskirts of Barcelona, which he is undertaking within the context of the European project entitled Bewildering Boar.
