Jon Otamendi

An artist whose projects largely take place outside of traditional art spaces. Jon Otamendi is behind projects such as Un mundo que existe desde siempre (Aizarnazabal, 2018), La palabra suceder (Golem, Az, 2017), La sombra del mundo (Bilbao, 2016), Estasis (Artium, 2014), Atrias (Bilbao, 2014) and De rebosar o de inundar (Barcelona, 2013), and in 2010 launched the MLDJ initiative (together with Lorea Alfaro, David Martínez Suárez and Manu Uranga). He has also taken part in collective exhibitions in the Museo de Bellas Artes de Bilbao (2018), Galería Moises Pérez de Albéniz (2017), Elba Benítez (2016), Galería CarrerasMugica (2015), the Museo San Telmo (2014) and the Guggenheim Bilbao (2013), among others.
