Juan Garzia Garmendia (Legazpi, 1955). After studying philology and spending a few years as a teacher, he focused on the field of translation and its teaching. He has received the Euskadi Award twice in the translation category, the last time for the Basque version of Shakespeare’s sonnets. He has also produced his own works of fiction, some of which have received awards and been included in anthologies.
