María Salgado

María Salgado (b. 1984) is a poet, performer and scholar on Contemporary Poetry and Poetics. She works with language as the material of texts, audiotexts and performances. She has published five books of poetry, including ready (2012), Hacía un ruido. Frases para un film político (2016) y Salitre (2019);  and she has presented her performative work in contexts such as MAC Montreal, WKV Stuttgart or MACBA. In 2022 she will publish El Momento Analírico. An expanded history of poetry in Spain from 1964 to 1983 in Akal. Since 2012 she collaborates with music composer Fran MM Cabeza de Vaca. She is member of the independent research group Seminario Euraca.
