Descripción
The work is comprised of two complementary offerings based on the graphics, design, and playability of the 1984 arcade video game Marble Madness. The game’s design was influenced by the work of M.C. Escher, known for his drawings with reticulated backgrounds and different patterns that create his infinite and impossible architecture. Escherland takes into account this genesis of video games as a creator of images and channel of a work’s development, while at the same time understanding different video game levels and graphics as territory or an abstract space.
