Nad Spiro is the identity behind which San Sebastian-native composer Rosa Arruti works alone. She is a pioneer and essential figure of Spanish experimentation, and
an accomplice of underground Barcelona’s most legendary projects. As a sonic explorer of broad musical spectrum, Spiro inhabits a universe of guitars and otherworldly textures incorporated into auditory fiction.
She has published the majority of her recordings under the prestigious label Geometrik Records (such as her praised latest album “Pedreres”) in addition to international record companies (Farpoint Recordings, Front&Follow, Silent Records, Sloow tapes, etc.). Spiro collaborates with artists such as My Cat is an Alien, Kim Cascone, Marcyn Dimiter, and the broadcaster The Neon Hospice, presenting her work live in Europa and South America, as well as with audio pieces for sound and radio exhibitions.
