The experimental film and technology lab aims to cast a critical eye on the use of technology (both analogue and digital) applied to image and sound in movement, reflecting and offering creative uses for these materials.

We live in a time of technological transition, where analogue methods continue to coexist alongside the 3.0 revolution heralded in by digital technologies (both in terms of recording, and distributing content). Instead of being passive users of these new -and old- technologies, let's reflect on how we film, what we use to film, why we do, for what purpose, and for whom. This work group serves to put all of these questions on the table and activate creative ways of addressing the technological moment in which we live.
Anyone interested in cinema, from filmmakers to students, as well as engineers or 'makers', are welcome to join this film and technology group, which will meet starting 6 October 2018 on Saturday mornings in Hirikilabs and is coordinated by Unai Ruiz (student of Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola). This project is developed with the support of Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola. If you wish to participate, or would like to receive more information, please contact the group using this address: hirikilabs@tabakalera.eu.
