Santiago F Mosteyrín (Madrid, 1982) has trained as an artist and biologist at different universities and in different contexts. His work is carried out as an exploration of the notion of surface, focusing on two aspects or attitudes: eroticism and resistance, through objects and images with a strong performative charge. He has exhibited his work in Bulegoa z/b, La Fresh Gallery, the Stedelijk Museum Bureau Amsterdam (SMBA), La Casa Encendida and the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró Mallorca, among others. He has been a resident artist in the Jan Van Eyck Academie, the BilbaoArte Foundation and The Croft/PROARTIBUS in Tammisaari (Finland). He is a guest lecturer for the Master's in Artistic Research by the Universiteit Van Amsterdam and for the Bachelor of Dance programme at Codarts Rotterdam.
