Over the time period of eight years German documentary filmmaker Thorsten Schütte was working on the project Eat That Question: Frank Zappa in his own Words.

Endless negotiations with various rights holders, a cumbersome global archive research and challenging financing through funds and broadcasters accompanied this venture from beginning til end that eventually led to global cinematic success.
