Ion Munduate

Ion Munduate is an artist who has trained in performance dance and Zen techniques in San Sebastián, Madrid, and Paris. His work revolves around a bodily discourse whose medium is immateriality, through a temporary situation. Recently, he has become interested in writing/drawing scores of the movements, actions, and situations he professes.

He has done the following pieces: Lucía con zeta (1998), Boj de largo (FlyBall) (2000), ASTRA TOUR (2003-2004), BAT, Beautiful Animals Trying (2006), Extras de artificio (2007), and Sin título, en colores (2010), as well as the research project Translation. Since 1998, he has worked alongside Blanca Calvo as the Co-Director of the Mugatxoan Project, a workshop/programming scheme interested in the emerging practices and projects that are a cross between performance and visual arts.
