Playmodes is a small digital artisan workshop. It is a team of engineers, musicians, and graphic artists that conceive audiovisual pieces for unconventional formats. All their projects are elaborated through the development of their own technologies that take shape in the form of immersive light and sound installations, sculptural devices, ingenious kinetics, scenography, and audiovisual concerts that explore an abstract universe of visual music.
Inspired by natural phenomenon, sci-fi literature, abstract art, experimental animation, contemporary music, techno, urban art, and psychedelia, they develop abstract works that consolidate the perception of architecture, light, sound, and time from multiple perspectives.
In recent years, Playmodes has developed artistic projects around the world -New York, Prague, Madrid, São Paulo, Houston, Geneva, Berlin, Rome, London- for electronic music events such as Sónar in Barcelona and DGTL in Amsterdam; for art institutions such as ZKM-Karlsruhe and Ars Electronica in Linz; and have been recognised with international distinctions in the field of new media art.
