Saioa Burutaran

Saioa Burutaran, Susi Quiu, (Donostia, 1986) is an artist with a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Milan. She also graduated in fashion design from the Felicidad Duce school in Barcelona and began her professional career as a designer for major international textile companies. In 2010 she returned to her home town and there, since then, she has been combining teaching with her career as an illustrator.

She has had numerous collective and individual exhibitions in cities such as Valencia, Milan and Barcelona. In addition to her continuous ongoing production for agencies and publishers, she has published two albums of her own (A Bam Ba Boo Loo Ba and Los animales y sus oficios molones).

With a very recognisable style, she has succeeded in developing her own world of illustration, characterised by naive symbolism, retro atmospheres and a solid line that give her work a unique language.
