Sergio Prego

Artist based in Brooklyn. His work revolves around sculpture, integrating a performative perspective. Between 1993 and 1995, Prego attended workshops and seminars led by Juan Luis Moraza or Txomin Badiola and Angel Bados at Arteleku. From 1996 to 2002, he collaborated with North American artist Vito Acconci’s studio to develop architecture and public art projects. He has participated in the conception and development of the PRIMER PROFORMA 2010 at the MUSAC, as well as the Kalostra art pedagogy project in San Sebastian in 2014. Among his recent exhibitions, of particular note are Rose Colored Drift (Blaffer Art Museum, Houston), Perforated By together with Itziar Okariz (the Spanish Pavilion at the 58th Venice Biennale), and Poured Architecture (Graham Foundation, Chicago).
