His work process involves a direct relationship with the body, human scale, and its morphology; however, the formal aspect of the works shy away from purely anthropomorphic representation, leaning in more to the materialisation of clear, geometric, and precise forms instead. The latest stage of his work addresses his own desires, attempting to trap them, thinking about if that would be possible and, if it is, if they would actually be worth capturing. The question arises as to if this action is about suppressing them, or submitting to them in some way.
As 2021 Tabakalera resident, this new project aims to create a collection of works that draw from fetishes, signs, and symbols to address the formal, functional, and metaphorical potential of mooring, observing the way traps operate as structural systems of organisation.
