Between February 2015 and November 2016, we have worked together with two artists, a group of former female Tabakalera workers and a group of actresses on the Mañana Goodbye [Goodbye Tomorrow] project. It is a series of twelve chapters that delves into the change of production model behind the former tobacco factory becoming the current International Contemporary Cultural Centre. Two major questions lurk there: What do we need from the past when it comes to work? And how and from where does memory come into play? The second phase of the project has been accompanied by After Leaving the Factory, a programme of activities for the general public.
Mañana Goodbye can be visited in the Storage, where it is set up as an audiovisual installation, with a new chapter being added each month until December 2016. From then onwards, the work will continue to be installed in the same place and will be activated through different education programmes: History, Memory and Work and Shall We Continue Working Together?
